Which is deadlier: caffeine in your coffee or the water in your coffee?

After reading about how dangerous caffeine in your coffee can be, I was wondering about how much coffee could kill you.

Well, here’s the result. According to compound interest’s website, it would take 6 liters of water to kill you and 28.32 liters of standard strength coffee with average levels of caffeine.

In other words, if you tried to kill yourself with coffee, you’d likely die from excess water consumption first. This doesn’t mean that caffeine isn’t dangerous, especially in its pure form. So if you drink a lot of coffee and begin to feel uncomfortable, perhaps you need to cut your overall caffeine intake (soda, tea, chocolate, as well as coffee!).
