Weekend Coffee: Kahlua Dark Roast
Try this recipe with Kahlua (a Mexican liqueur flavored with rum, coffee, and vanilla bean. All of which are wonderful flavors in themselves.
- 12 cups of cold fresh water (about 2.8L)
- 4 tablespoons of dark roast coffee (about 60g)
- one half pint of Kahlua (240ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (2.5g)
First make coffee in coffee maker as usual. Then pour coffee into large thermos flask. Just add the Kahlua, cinnamon and put the lid on tight! Shake!
Serve to your friends, and enjoy!
One variation: if you can’t get 100% Kahlua, you might like to try Kahlua syrup instead. I suggest you make a small batch first to test the flavors.
