Usual Coffee Brew: Simple Iced Coffee
by Coffee Lover
(USA)
To make iced coffee, I start by making my coffee brew as usual. Then, once the coffee is made, I pour it into a container and refrigerate.
Once cooled, I mix with a fair amount of chilled milk and cream. I then add sugar to taste. I then pour the mixture in to a cup of 5 ice cubes.
Sometimes I might add a little whipped cream. Not one of these steps is really measured except for the amount of ice, mainly because I don't like my coffee being too watery and diluted.
I kind of wing it and go for taste every time. Hope you find success in your brew of iced coffee!

Simple French Press Iced Coffee Method
My favorite way to make coffee is in a french press. Take a large french press and add 1/3 cup medium roast coffee, then fill with water.
Stick it in the fridge for at least 8 hours or overnight, and presto! Iced coffee ready for the morning! Pour the finished coffee over ice.
If it's too strong feel free to dilute with a little cold water.
I'm glad to spread the gospel of iced coffee, the best way to enjoy coffee in the summer!

French Press Coffee Makes an 'Iced' Easy Mocha
by Irene Johnston
(Philadelphia, PA)
Since it's been so hot this summer, iced is the only way I can stand to drink my coffee now! I prefer to use freshly ground beans and a French press for iced coffee. Since the press tends to make stronger coffee than a regular coffee pot it works particularly well for iced coffee.
I rarely measure the beans, but every morning I will typically use about two tablespoons of freshly ground coffee. While I typically use a medium roast, Jamaica Me Crazy is a nice lightly-flavored treat once in a while. I generally make about 8-oz of coffee at a time.
One of the great things about using a press is that the grounds are still useable; I can add more hot water once or twice and still make good strong coffee. Generally I'll let the grounds sit for about a minute in the hot water, then slowly lower the press (this time can be extended a bit if I'm reusing grounds from earlier in the day). Once the coffee looks nice and dark I just pour it over ice and I'm done.
I generally drink my coffee black; since I live alone and would really only use milk or cream for my coffee I never go through enough to buy it consistently. However, I do occasionally use chocolate flavored soy milk in my coffees. I find the flavor much richer than using diary-based chocolates and it's an easy and affordable way to turn my normal coffee into a mocha.

Overnight Iced Coffee, Made With Columbian
My favorite way to make iced coffee is to use a strong dark roast, like a Columbian coffee dark roast, and get it ground coarsely.
Then, I put it in my coffee press with water and stir it before going to bed. When I wake up in the morning, I press the coffee, and combine with sugar and creamer, I'm personally a big fan of hazelnut. Seriously, I love my iced cofee.

Put Coffee in Ice Cubes!
by Kate
The first thing about my iced coffee is that I make coffee ice cubes. I use the leftover coffee from the pots I make in the morning, and put it in an ice cube tray to freeze.
Make sure it's cooled down so you don't melt your ice cube trays! Then, I make a pot of coffee. It goes in the fridge in a pitcher to cool down. I add some milk and honey to sweeten it, and then in go the ice cubes! It's a delicious way to cool down on a hot day.
(Obviously you should use the same coffee in the ice cubes as in your cup. Otherwise you might have an odd mixing of flavors! - Ed.)

Iced Coffee (tupperware variation) Six Steps to Iced Coffee Heaven
by Anonymous Iced Coffee Addict
(USA)
Here's my iced coffee recipe:
1. Take regular coffee grounds (any brand) and put them in a tupperware dish.
2. Then I add equal parts water. For example, one scoop of coffee would mean I add two cups of water.
3. Then, I set it all in the fridge overnight.
4. In the morning, I use a strainer to get all of the coffee grounds out.
5. From there, I put my desired amount of coffee in the blender and add my chai cream, and sugar. Blend it all together and pour it over a cup FULL of ice!
Enjoy!

Quick and Easy Iced Coffee made with Starbucks VIA coffee
by Susan Thomas
(Orlando, Florida, USA)
This is my go-to iced coffee recipe on hot September days when I won't have time to make something complicated before class or when I'm planning on studying for hours at a time.
It's not the cheapest or prettiest recipe, but it takes no time at all and tastes pretty good for what it is.
Ingredients * 1 packet of Starbucks VIA Instant Iced Coffee * 8 ounces of water (or thereabouts -- this is a quick and easy recipe) * 4 ounces of soymilk (I like non-fat plain rather than regular skim milk, it has more body to it and it's comparable nutrition-wise. Any kind of milk will do the job, but you want something a little bit creamy.) * 2 teaspoons of sugar * Ice * Straw
Instructions Pour a little water into your glass. Add the VIA, swish it around until it dissolves, then add the rest of your water. Add milk, sugar, and stir vigorously. Then stir some more!
The sugar won't dissolve well for the most part, but that's okay. Add ice. The straw will make sure you're drinking sweet icy, creamy goodness up until the last drop.
