Iced Coffee Recipes: Traditional, Exotic and Yours!

Other iced coffee recipes? You kidding? I always thought there was just one, but it turns out my readers are proving me wrong almost with each recipe submitted.

Do you want to prove me wrong, too? What iced coffee recipes do you know? Come on, share and prove that I am totally wrong!

Check out the bottom of the page to see some of these really great recipes: Miss Pickles' Iced Coffee; Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Cinnamon; and there are more coming!

Iced Coffee Recipe in a clear glass

So if you, too, are wondering about other creative and tasty recipes for making iced coffee, you'll be surprised at how many iced coffee recipes you can find to enjoy. There's nothing better on a hot summer's day than a frosty glass of iced coffee!

Basic Iced Coffee Techniques and Recipes

You can find the basic instruction on how to make iced coffee which explains what you need, the methods, and a few tips on how to get it right.

This pages offers six 'advanced' iced coffee recipes: I hope you'll enjoy them. Do share your own one, if you have one that's particularly different, unique or enjoyable! I would love to host new recipes for coffee on this site! Drop me a recipe through the form at the bottom of this page! It's easy, anonymous, and entertaining for both myself and my fellow coffee lovers! After all, who doesn't like to drink iced coffee? Anyone,... Nobody!

Cinnamon Caramel Coffee

If you like a sweet concoction, you'll love cinnamon caramel coffee. To get the best flavor, mix the cinnamon in before brewing.

You'll need 4 cups of water, 1/3 cup of coarsely ground coffee, a teaspoon of cinnamon and a half cup of caramel syrup, the kind of syrup you use over ice cream.

You can either brew the coffee in your coffee maker or cold brew it but be sure the cinnamon goes in with the coffee. Add the caramel, stir well to mix it in and chill the coffee in the refrigerator.

When you're ready to drink it add ice and milk and sweetener if you like. This creamy, sweet coffee is a perfect poolside drink.

Coffee Soda

If you already have some cold brew coffee you can make coffee soda, which is rather like an ice cream float. This is a personal favorite of mine!

Mix the coffee with some cream or half and half and a little sugar or other sweetener.

Add a scoop of ice cream to the glass then fill it the rest of the way with club soda and top it off with whipped cream.

This sweet treat can be calorie friendly by using low fat ice cream or frozen yogurt, fat free whipped topping and zero calorie club soda.

Coffee Sherbet

For a refreshing and unusual drink you can mix ¼ cup of cold brewed coffee with and equal amount of lemon sherbet, a half teaspoon of lemon juice, a teaspoon of sugar and a little lemon zest.

Sweet and refreshing, this drink will be a real hit at your next cookout or party.

Thai Iced Coffee

For coffee with an exotic touch, Thai iced coffee can't be beat.

Add a couple teaspoons of ground cardamom to a cup of cold brewed coffee concentrate. Mix four tablespoons each of heavy cream and granulated sugar to three cups of water and stir in a teaspoon of almond extract. Add the mixture to the coffee and serve over ice.

Cardamom is a wonderful spice with a strong flavor and intense aroma. It's ideally suited to ice creams and iced desserts. So this drink is a wonderful variation on traditional iced coffee.

Vietnamese Iced Coffee

We've already looked at how to make Vietnamese Coffee, but actually placing the Vietnamese coffee filter over a glass partially filled with ice cubes and condensed milk will make a wonderfully strong, sweet and soothing drink for the summer heat!

Coffee Nog

Iced coffee recipes aren't only for summer, though. If you enjoy eggnog during the winter months, you'll love "coffeenog"!

Beat together four eggs and four tablespoons of sugar. Add some nutmeg to taste. Then pour in a pint of cold milk and a pint of cold brewed coffee.

This is delicious, especially when sipped by a warm fire during the Christmas season. You can even add some brandy if you feel especially festive.

More Iced Coffee Recipes, ... and then there's yours!

There are many iced coffee recipes to enjoy and many ways to enjoy iced coffee not written down yet. Why not make up your own recipe and have fun experimenting? Iced coffee is marvelous when mixed with Kahlua or brandy.

You can get creative and try your hand with various flavorings and cream, mixing it with ice in a blender. And when you're done, drop us a line here at PurelyCoffeeBeans. You can even take a photograph!
