Cinnamon Caramel CoffeeIf you like a sweet concoction, you'll love cinnamon caramel coffee. To get the best flavor, mix the cinnamon in before brewing. You'll need 4 cups of water, 1/3 cup of coarsely ground coffee, a teaspoon of cinnamon and a half cup of caramel syrup, the kind of syrup you use over ice cream. You can either brew the coffee in your coffee maker or cold brew it but be sure the cinnamon goes in with the coffee. Add the caramel, stir well to mix it in and chill the coffee in the refrigerator. When you're ready to drink it add ice and milk and sweetener if you like. This creamy, sweet coffee is a perfect poolside drink. Coffee SodaIf you already have some cold brew coffee you can make coffee soda, which is rather like an ice cream float. This is a personal favorite of mine! Mix the coffee with some cream or half and half and a little sugar or other sweetener. Add a scoop of ice cream to the glass then fill it the rest of the way with club soda and top it off with whipped cream. This sweet treat can be calorie friendly by using low fat ice cream or frozen yogurt, fat free whipped topping and zero calorie club soda. Coffee SherbetFor a refreshing and unusual drink you can mix ¼ cup of cold brewed coffee with and equal amount of lemon sherbet, a half teaspoon of lemon juice, a teaspoon of sugar and a little lemon zest. Sweet and refreshing, this drink will be a real hit at your next cookout or party. Thai Iced CoffeeFor coffee with an exotic touch, Thai iced coffee can't be beat. Add a couple teaspoons of ground cardamom to a cup of cold brewed coffee concentrate. Mix four tablespoons each of heavy cream and granulated sugar to three cups of water and stir in a teaspoon of almond extract. Add the mixture to the coffee and serve over ice. Cardamom is a wonderful spice with a strong flavor and intense aroma. It's ideally suited to ice creams and iced desserts. So this drink is a wonderful variation on traditional iced coffee. Vietnamese Iced CoffeeWe've already looked at how to make Vietnamese Coffee, but actually placing the Vietnamese coffee filter over a glass partially filled with ice cubes and condensed milk will make a wonderfully strong, sweet and soothing drink for the summer heat! Coffee NogIced coffee recipes aren't only for summer, though. If you enjoy eggnog during the winter months, you'll love "coffeenog"! Beat together four eggs and four tablespoons of sugar.
