Coffee Gift Sets: Great gifts for Christmas and any occasion!

Coffee gift sets are meant to give a person everything they need to brew a great cup or pot of coffee, often in a way very different than they are used to. They are even ideal coffee gifts for those who are interested in trying good coffee but don't know where to start, and coffee bean gifts somehow seem incomplete.

They can also be a great present if you are struggling for good ideas for a coffee drinker. So when you want to give a gift that provides the recipient a complete, unique experience you should consider coffee gift sets.

Other coffee gifts such as coffee baskets concentrate on coffee beans or pre-ground coffee and they may throw in some additional coffee making items, spoons, mugs and other incidentals.

The theme coffee gift set

Coffee sets often come geared toward specific themes, which can add a lot of charm to an otherwise less overtly exciting present! So look around for sets that feature something that interests the recipient.

turkish coffee gift setYou'll find sets like "An Evening in Peru" that include Peruvian coffee beans, a coffee grinder of some sort, coffee cups, perhaps some Peruvian biscuits or candy, a map of archaeological sites and even a small figurine of an Inca god or goddess.

This type of gift is meant to evoke a mood and heighten the pleasure your friend or other loved one gets in making the coffee themselves and enjoying it—perhaps with you!

You'll also find gift sets targeted at particular holidays, like Christmas, Father's Day, etc.. so you may find a good set at a reasonable price.

One of the very popular coffee gift sets right now is the Turkish (see picture) coffee themed set.  These sets usually come with things such as a hand coffee mill for Turkish grind, and ibrik to brew it with; Demitasse cups and some three bags of coffee beans.

It may even include literature that explains the process and the history of that particular brew and a novelty item like straw or coals that were used in ancient times to brew the coffee.

Ice Coffee Theme Set

One of the nicest coffee gifts you can give during the hot summer months is an iced coffee-themed set.  Iced coffee is becoming very popular as people seek cooling drinks that keep them alert in sometimes stifling heat.

These sets come with everything needed to make the best iced coffee available—coffee and an iced coffee maker such as Toddy or instructions to make it using common kitchen implements.  It may also include a recipe book on the many kinds of iced coffee one can make from the simple basic product.  Iced coffee gift sets could also come with glassware suited to certain recipes or plain coffee mugs, depending on your choice.

Special Occasions, too

You can even get gift sets for special occasions such as graduations, weddings, and anniversaries.  There are many choices and combinations so there is something for everyone.  When choosing coffee gift sets you should, of course, consider the tastes and lifestyle of the recipient.

A busy working mother or single dad may not have time to grind their own beans.  Then again, is that something that they can share with their children?  What child wouldn't enjoy using a French press to brew coffee for their Mom or Dad's breakfast?

How much does that cost?

As you can imagine, prices for coffee sets are all over the place. You can spend anywhere from $20 up to $120 and more for coffee gift sets, depending on your budget and what you'd like to give.

If you source some of the coffee beans from stores that are a little bit out of the recipient's lifestyle, you'll find that your budget can remain intact while surprising them with a thoughtful gift!

DIY - More fun, more creative, and more original!

If you are intrigued by the possibility, but you can't find a theme or combination of items on a budget that suits your particular situation, why not create your own themed coffee gift set by buying and wrapping the things you might want.

You can perhaps buy some antique coffee equipment and match it with some traditional coffees for a Yesteryear feel. Wrapped in a suitable box with a matching theme, nobody would guess that you did it yourself!

With a little imagination, some careful shopping, and flair you will find that your coffee gift is not only appreciated, but you can feel sure that your gift set will be a pleasure and not a burden to the recipient. With a little bit of luck, it will be one wonderful coffee gift that gets used and appreciated instead of stored away or re-gifted or returned to the store!

And finally...

Wherever you are, remember "Only Coffee Beans Make Great Coffee"! And enjoy that cup of coffee!
