Depending on your family's coffee consumption, you will find a black decker coffee maker that is just right for your home. In fact, I seem to remember having a small 2-4 cup black and decker coffee pot many many years ago. It lasted well, if a little on the small size.

There are many models available on the market, so you should find something to suit your own kitchen needs, whether it's a simple personal coffee maker, or a space saver model.

Brew'N'Go Coffee Maker

The Black and Decker DCM18 Brew'N'Go Coffee Maker is a personal sized coffee maker that brews your coffee in a thermal mug with upto 15-ounces of this heavenly brew.

Ideal for busy professionals who are always on the go: it will brew a mug of coffee in less than five minutes (by virtue of its size).

When it's done, you can just grab the cup (assuming you don't add milk) and take it straight to your car where it will fit most standard cup holders. And just in case you forget to turn it off, it will automatically shut down after a pre-set time.

Another advantage is the permanent filter is re-usable, meaning that you don't have to spend money or time looking for replacement paper filters. Anyway, the paper filters are a little messy, prone to tearing, and environmentally wasteful. Simply rinse the filter unit with water, and you're done.

The Black & Decker coffee makers last a while, as I found out, but should you break your coffee maker, you will find the Brew'N'Go mug does fit other units, too. The DCM18 comes in two models, DCM-18S is an upgrade that may be worth the additional few dollars for the stainless steel mug, and better casing.

A popular model in the series is the SDC850 Spacemaker Model, which can brew 8 cups, perfect for your whole family. It is available with a thermal carafe, too, to keep the coffee warmer longer without scorching the coffee. Just in case you leave it on too long, the freshness indicator will tell you how long ago it was brewed. Avoid nasty surprises!

There are surprises, however, in the installation process, as several customers noted problems installing the spacemaker into their kitchen units. But a bigger problem that occurred on early units seems to be due to leaking carafes.

If you do buy this, and it gives you trouble, just get a refund for it. Buy a different model. There have been quite a few happy owners, especially people who installed it into mobile caravans where space is a permium.
